We live in Winston-Salem, N.C. with our dog Mishka (bottom), a black border collie mix we adopted from the Humane Society nearly 3 years ago. As you can see, Mishka is a party animal. If we could bring her to Hawaii, we would!

Geoff is in his third and final year of residency in Pediatrics at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. After finishing in June, he will spend a year working in Statesville with his father, the original Dr. Abell, while Isabel completes her Intership.

When he's not taking care of little kids, Geoff writes music and performs with Jamie Miyares and Doug Hawkins in their band, tommygun. They recently released their second CD, Cranes and Camels. You can check them out and listen to selections from this CD and their first album, Recreation, at tommygunrock.com.

Isabel finished the PhD part of her MD/PhD in May of 2004 under her mentor, Dr. Judy Brunso-Bechtold in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy. She is in her last year of medical school at Wake Forest School of Medicine and will graduate on May 15, 2006.

After graduation, Isabel and Geoff will spend one more year in Winston-Salem while Isabel completes her Internship at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. After that, they are so excited to be moving to sunny San Diego for Isabel's residency in Radiology! Geoff will either get a job at that point or enroll in a Fellowship program.

Besides being a life-long student, Isabel likes to work in her art room. In August of 2004, she had her first solo art show entitled Lenses. She hopes to have another one soon!
